May 2nd, 2010 · No Comments · Uncategorized

There’s something very romantic, even magical about hosting your wedding in a castle. See below a write up on some of the main castles throughout Ireland.

Darver Castle
Readypenny, Dundalk, Co.Louth
Darver Castle is in County Louth on the East Coast of Ireland. It is 40 miles from Dublin and is located near the town of Dundalk. Set in 50 acres of fine parkland the castle is surrounded by mature trees, extensive lawns and gardens. Perfect for photographic opportunities and the sea and mountains are only a few miles away.

Lough Eske Castle
Donegal Town, Co.Donegal
Tucked within the captivating woodlands of Northwest Ireland, Solis Lough Eske Castle offers luxurious accommodation, stunningly set in a meticulously restored 17th Century castle. Dating back to the 1400’s, this meticulously restored hotel is nestled in an enchanting forest of massive, ancient trees, where the landscape maintains its pristine unspoiled beauty.

Markree Castle
Collooney, Co.Sligo
Set in a secluded 500 acre estate in County Sligo, peace and relaxation combined with good food, fine wine and old-world charm make a stay at Markree a step back in time. The only castle hotel in Sligo, Markree is a truly unique hidden gem in the heart of Sligo.

Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel
Killiney, Co.Dublin
Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel Dublin is the epitome of elegance on the South Dublin Coast. Overlooking Dublin bay ad situated at the brow of Killiney Hill, the 4 star Castle Hotel is just 9 miles south of Dublin city centre. Special weddings packages are offered including complimentary red carpet on arrival, champagne for bride and groom, complimentary bridal suite etc etc. Fitzpatrick Castle 4* Hotel, an 18th Century Castle, offers opulence and tranquillity within breathtaking surroundings.

Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa
Dunboyne, Co.Meath
Standing over 21 acres of mature manicured lawns and gardens, the Castle’s most unique attribute is the peaceful oasis it offers guests while also located in such close proximity to Dublin’s City Centre. Beautifully restored, the historic mansion, once home to the Lord of Dunboyne, today serves as one of Ireland’s foremost exclusive hotel destinations.

Luttrellstown Castle
Castleknock, Dublin 15
Luttrellstown Castle is located between Dublin city and the airport and so offers a luxurious oasis on the edge of Dublin city. The castle is set in the grandeur of a 560 acre walled estate and offers a unique, peaceful and private setting for your wedding day. The tree lined avenue leading to the castle heightens your arrival. The castle is furnished with its original artwork and furnishings giving a great sense of elegance. This is a very special venue for such a special day

Wedding on Saturday – Christchurch Cathedral & Royal College of Physicians (Number Six)

September 4th, 2009 · No Comments · Uncategorized

I was approached 8 months ago regarding flowers for a wedding in Christchurch Cathedral and the reception afterwards at The Royal College of Physicians (Number Six), Kildare street, Dublin.  I was only too happy to oblige as the couple placed a strong emphasis on contemporary design, skills which I value above all. Flowers used include pink and cream avalanche roses, delphinium, pink and white hydrangea.

The day was an amazing success with bride and groom delighted with the results. Am awaiting the official photos but below is a sneak preview.
